As we can see from the graphs above, 111 of our students have not been involved in an eTwinning project before. "Youth in Action for SDGs" will be a first for them. This is gratifying for us. It is one of our goals to include our students who have not been involved in such projects before, and to have them experience this too.

Only 40 of our participating students explain that they did not know about sustainable development goals before. I guess that 75 percent of them hear it because we inform our students about the project in our lessons. At the end of the project period, we aim for all our students to have comprehensive knowledge of all SDGs.

127 students know how many SDGs there are. Of course, this is pleasing, but it is debatable how much awareness they have about the content. For example, the rate of those who know the meaning of the word "sustainable" is much lower; less than 60 percent.

Responses to current information on SDGs also show that our students have knowledge in the range of 50-55%.

But a greater majority; 122 students are aware that achieving sustainable development goals is a responsibility that concerns everyone.

Interestingly, 27 of our students believe that Gender Equality is not an SDG. 12 of our students say Zero Hunger and 9 of our students say Good Health and Wellbeing is not an SDG.

Half of our students do not know how many countries have signed the SDGs. And 31 of our students think that the SDGs mostly deal with environmental issues. We have 102 students who say that it includes economic and social issues. Although the vast majority know that all SDGs are interconnected, 47 of our students think that they are independent of each other.

The meaning of ESD, of which this project is a part, was correctly guessed by 117 of our students.

As a result, our students' experience of being involved in a project and their knowledge and awareness of SDGs are limited. Our project goal is to increase the awareness of all young people and teachers participating in the project about all SDGs, and with this awareness to lead to positive behavioral changes in their daily lives. At the end of the project period, all participants will become individuals who will contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals and will be able to instill this awareness in their environment.
