On 24th May 2022 in Primary School Strahoninec we had a guest lecture by Humana Nova, a non-profit social cobuoperative enterprise. We watched their documentary and learned about the people who work there, the products they produce and how they do business.

It was very inspiring to hear that they employ over 50% of the people with disabilities and marginalized groups and that they help the local community. Their main task is to collect used textile and sort it out to be recycled, treated and made into beautiful new fabric.

Some of the famous buisnesses they work with are Ikea, Decathlon and Carlsberg. By buying their products, these businesses also help people with disabilites. Thanks to their amazing work, they have opened new locations outside of Međimurje region and are growing each day.
