Preschool children will develop their early literacy skills during free play and other activities in the outdoor, natural environments (forests, meadows, by the river, …). An outdoor classroom is a wondrous, textured, dynamic habitat for imaginative play, developing social skills, foster phonological awareness, Socio-Dramatic play, and introducing new vocabulary contextually and with hands-on experiences. A forest is an outdoor space, where a child participates in life skills, such as learning personal, social, and technical skills. They will learn about the basic vocabulary of the different languages of the participating partners.
