Introduction to the Internet of Things
1)the students watched a video explaining the Internet.

2) Then they were introduced to the IoT and they brainstormed about the similarities and differences between the Internet and the Internet of Things. They also conclude on the characteristics that must have a device to be considered as "smart".

3) We implemented a live example on IoT in the computer lab using a smartphone and a "smart" lamp. The students tried in plenary to figure out how it was possible to control a Lamp remotely from a smartphone. They exchanged ideas on that devices (router, servers) and connections (Wifi, internet..) were used.

4) Last we used some of the IoT possibilities to explore the world in real-time, as if we were there! We used live cameras (EarthCam, WorldCam )all over the world to discover what was happening now or to hear what music was played (Radio Garden) in real-time all over the planet.
