Are you ready for a STEAM CHALLENGE?
Let's build the tallest Very Hungry Caterpillars ever!
In a vertical direction, stack circular objects (ex. bottle or jar caps, buttons, checkers, paper plates etc) to create your own Very Hungry Caterpillar.
You may glue googly eyes on the last piece of material you put on top, add wooden sticks or pipe cleaners for its antennas to make it spark some personallity! What else can you use instead?
Focus on the height and the stability of the structure you made. Is it a solid creation? What would happen if you use different types of materials in between the layers of stacking?
Measure your caterpillar after each addition to check how high it can grow before it topples over. Experiment with various materials and notice the different effect they have on the height of your caterpillar.
Add your activity photo collages to the twinboard bellow and share your fun moments with us all.
