    Currently Fernando is a professor of research at the Spanish Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (CSIC), where he leads the Ecology and Global Change group at the National Museum of Natural Sciences. He is an associate professor at the Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid.

    She works in the school policy team at the European Commission’s department for Education, Youth, Sports and Culture in Brussels. For the past six years she has been responsible for digital education and was on the team drafting the Commission’s Digital Education Action Plan (2021-2027). Deirdre is also responsible for education for environmental sustainability and is currently preparing a new policy initiative on this topic.

    She is an English teacher for eight years and working in a secondary school in Adana, Turkey. She graduated from Seljuk University. She also has a Master Degree in English Language Teaching from Cukurova University. She is interested in global issues & technology.
