They learned how to research, saving images and how to insert the TwinSpace.

The bas-relief of the coat of arms of Lauria is located in the lower ward on the facade of the Pisciolone wall in via Fontana. It is at that point since 1787 when it was built the fountain; reports, similar to the coat of arms, the figure of a mythological beast, which is the basilisk, and the Latin words Noli Me Tangere with the meaning of Do not touch me. You can also read the following Latin text:
    "Aere HIS, OPTUMO. PUBLICO
    IN SINDACATU PETRI PAOLI
    STRITTI
    INFUNDO AQUISS. Bérardini
FREE CONCESSIS ME FECIT "       Alessandro

The fountain of the Three Piscioli, so called for its three water jet flowing by as many cannulas, is located in a semi-hidden corner under Lauria in what was once the town Rijeka, now Via Fontana. Once used by housewives for water supply and the laundry, it currently has poor conditions. Already during some renovations of the retaining wall, made in 1978, the building suffered an apparent breakup that was manifested by the removal of masks that decorated. The artistic works, of little value, consisting of strange faces in whose mouths were implanted cannulas, are lost.   Ludovica

The fountain of Pisciolone is located in the lower district of Lauria in via Fontana, a place that once was called River. It was built in 1787 when the Friars Minor of the ancient and now destroyed Convent of San Bernardino donated the sources to the city. Only recently, after a long period of inactivity, it restored the flow of water through the single imposing and austere stone canal that feeds the four cannulas of the fountain. On the facade it is posted a bas-relief of the municipal coat of arms. A little further down there is another fountain, one of the Three Piscioli. Giulia

This monument commemorates the massacre carried out between 7 and 9 August 1806 by Napoleon's troops commanded by General Andre Massena to the detriment of the local population who had rebelled against the French occupation siding for the Bourbon crown. Cristina

    RUGGIERO FROM LAURIA

Ruggero was born in this Lucanian village five years before the death of  the great Swabian emperor. His father was also a faithful servant of King Manfredi, Fredrick II’s son, with whom he shared death in the battle of 1266, against the troops of Carlo d’Angio. His mother, Bella, aunt Fredrick II’s great love, Bianca Lancia, in order to save her son from the Angevins, took refuge at Costanza’s court, first child of Manfredi, where the  baby was educated and taught and developed his character.  Antonio

St Anthony's Church and Capuchin monastery

Founded in 1617 following the request of the people of Lauria. Located outside of downtown, it was built according to the Capuchin form: it should be emphasized that despite being Lauria built on soft ground, the monastery with its adjacent church have never undergone any static displacement since founded on rock. The church, dedicated to St. Anthony, a painting depicting the Blessed Angelo d'Agri (1878), a wooden sculpture of St. Francis of Assisi in the nineteenth century.  Giorgia N.

Every year the monastery gather feet pork, provide them the butchers, the locals and the same monks go around the country to collect them. This year they were collected 4000. They are washed, salted and left to dry, cut into four pieces each and put in vinegar. On the day of the feast of St. Anthony, on June 13, they are distributed to the faithful along with bread and a glass of wine. Giorgia M.
