Worst scenarios that may happen in the future

MEDICINE AND PLASTIC SURGERY

Looking at our societies nowadays, we predict that medicine would face a major change. Today’s problems can’t seem to find an end. However things are getting worse. Overpopulation and economic crises may lead scientists to take harmful solutions for people such as creating viruses on purpose to decrease problems. This issue is not to be taken for granted. Scientists and politicians would create and spread new diseases to slow down population growth and to increase their profits by selling new medicines and treatments. Thus, fear and anxiety will spread among people. Some would even think that these inhuman interventions may lead to the extinction of human race.

Besides, plastic surgery would become the norm and every one would try to keep up to date and change their looks. Plastic surgery would be increasing enormously, especially that stars, famous people and the media would promote this obsession with looks and appearance. Also, Scientists would play “God” and design babies according to catalogues and parents’preferences. If this new trend would keep up, the world would end up full of fake people who care more about their looks than the beauty of their  character and behavior and who do not use their brains to make the world a better place to be. There wouldn’t be real, authentic people and every one would be fooled into thinking that good looks would make them happier. Of course, not everyone would have access to this surgery and the gap between the poor and the rich would be more apparent as societies would be divided into rich, “beautiful” classes and poor, ugly ones.  

In the end, it is really frightening to imagine how future generations will live and it is up to us today to choose the right path.
