Hello global citizens. 

We have reached the deadline. We are very proud that this big project now has participants from all over the world. We have connected with North, South, West and East. 
We are very happy, because this will give the newspaper the diversity, that we have dreamed of, since the beginning of the idea.

We are 9 different countries in total! 

Overall theme: “My body, my rights” 
Being able to make our own decisions about our health, body and sexual life is a basic human right.

Whoever you are, wherever you live, you have the right to make these choices without fear, violence or discrimination.

Yet all over the world, people are bullied, discriminated against and arrested, simply for making choices about their bodies and their lives. 

A woman is refused contraception because she doesn’t have her husband’s permission. A teenager is denied a life-saving termination because abortion is illegal in her country. A man is harassed by police because he’s gay.

What should you do now: 
To make sure that we all get the best result, we will go through the steps of the project again. Some of you have raised some questions, we will try to answer them in the steps.

You, the teacher has to work with your class, with the theme “My body, my rights”. The students need enough knowledge to be able to produce articles within this theme.

Produce articles in English. You can write as many articles as you want, but you have to select the 3 best articles and send them to us the 25.th of January 2016. We would like the 3 articles you send, to be varied in journalistic approach, but you use your professional competence to choose what other criteria you find important. (Read more about journalistic approach further down the page). With so many countries participating, we want to produce the best newspaper possible. We suggest that you use the other articles, that you have not selected to the Global Newspaper, to something productive at your school. 
All articles should be written in English. Remember to write bylines on the articles, so we can see who produced them.

Every class which has participated will make a video, with the whole class waving or something similar. These videos will also be put online on our news site, to show all the contributors. This should also be sent to us the 25.th of January 2016.

Deadline for sending your articles and videos to us are the 25.th of January 2016. It is important that you send the articles to us, so that our editorial team can make sure that your articles will get in the newspaper. 

At our school, Go Global will make an editorial team, that works with the collaborate newspaper. This will all be gathered in a global news site, which can be used and shown to the world. 

The journalistic approach:

When you write in a varied approach, it is important that you write articles with many different perspectives and angles on the theme. It can be anything from an interview to a background story. It is very important that you take in consideration, your own countries issues, surrounding the theme.
