Global newspaper - second invitation

  • Hello global citizens.

We are still awaiting an answer from you. The deadline is closing in and we already have countries like Iceland, Sweden, Slovenia and so forth, participating. We presume that this project will generate valuable education in social development and publicity for our benefit.

    We want YOU!

The theme of the newspaper is “My  body, my rights” with this description:
Being able to make our own decisions about our health, body and sexual life is a basic human right.

Whoever you are, wherever you live, you have the right to make these choices without fear, violence or discrimination.

Yet all over the world, people are bullied, discriminated against and arrested, simply for making choices about their bodies and their lives.

A woman is refused contraception because she doesn’t have her husband’s permission. A teenager is denied a life-saving termination because abortion is illegal in her country. A man is harassed by police because he’s gay.

We want to make a newspaper the puts focus on these rights. Our idea is that we can create a really great and informative newspaper if, as many students from different cultures, as possible contributes to the articles.
The structure of this project is:

    1. You receive this invitation and accept participation.
    2. You will work with the theme, on your school, as you see fit. The goal is that the students have enough knowledge and therefor are able to produce articles within this theme
    3. You are now producing articles for the global newspaper. It is important that your articles are varied in the journalistic approach.
    4. Every class which has participated will make a video, with the whole class waving or something similar. These videos will also be put online on our news site, to show all the contributors.
    5. Deadline for sending your articles and videos to us are the 25.th of January 2016.
    6. At our school, Go Global will make an editorial team, that works with the collaborate newspaper. This will all be gathered in a global news site, which can be used and shown to the world.

We hope you will join this project with your class and are as enthusiastic as us. When you have decided if you want to participate in this project, you can contact us on our mail. We also presume to have contact with you while the project is running.
