    16 parents answered the questions. According to the survey results, 75% of parents think that learning English is neccessary. Also, most of them think English is a neccessary and useful lesson. About importance of English for a better life and job, nearly half of them agree while the rest partially agree. While 6 parents see English as just a lesson, 10 parents think it is not. However, 14 of them want their children to learn English even if it was not taught. 13 of the parents think that their children should learn English as it is a global language and learning English is learning about a new culture. However, ratings range differently for learning another language. 3 parents agree and 7 parents partially agree while 1 parent partially disagree and 5 parents disagree.

    For the way of learning English, most of the parents think positive attitude and success in language learning are directly proportional, and English is not hard but fun. Half of them think their children have difficulty in speaking English because they focus on learning grammar. Finally 15 parents think their children should pratice English at home and/or with the other English learners.

    In short, when I see the results, I can say that my students' parents mostly think that English is not just a lesson but their children should learn it for a better job and life. They are open to the idea of learning the culture of the language but some of them do not see neccessity for learning another language. As for the way of learning, nearly all of them see importance of practice but half of them think their children focus on learning grammar and it negatively affects the their speaking skills.

    The survey has been sincerely answered by 20 parents. Most of parents think that English isn’t only a lesson. It’s widely seen that English is necessary and not hard to learn as well. Almost half of parents agree English lesson is fundamental and beneficial for their kids’ future and job opportunities. The aspect that parents think their kids need to learn is English is stated as a global language by roughly half, the others don’t think so. I can add that any language other than English may be taught/ learnt by %41. Additionally language as a culture teaching is the similar amount. Practicing in English both at home and with peer is better for their kids, more than half parents agree. As the language teaching approaches is mostly based on grammar teaching, 12 parents stated the reason why the kids have hard times.

    21 parents answered the questions. According to the survey results, 66% of parents think that English isn’t just a lesson and most of them agree that learning English is necessary. They think that children should learn English for a better job and life. Nearly all of them think that their children should learn English because it is a global language and learning English means learning a new culture. 20 of parents agree that they wish their children could learn English if it wasn’t taught at school. Also, most of the parents think that practicing English with other language learners is important. However; they don’t agree that their children have difficulty in speaking English because they focus on grammar. 71% of the parents think that their children should learn a different language. However; 4 parents don’t agree with them. 19 parents think that positive attitude and Learning English are directly proportional.

    According to the results of the survey, 81% of the respondents think that English is not just a lesson. Again, 81% think it is necessary to learn English. While more than half of the respondents think that learning English, is not about difficulties in English, 4 parents think it is about difficulties. Almost all of the respondents stated that English is necessary for a good life, because they think that, when English is known, it is easier to find a job. Only 1 parent among respondents thinks English is not a global language. All other participants think that it is a global language and therefore it should be learned. Almost all of them deny that English is not a fun language.

    According to 76% of the respondents, learning English is learning a new culture. 61% of the respondents think that children should learn at least one more language other than English. Everyone thinks that, English can be learned better by practicing at home. They think that positive attitude is directly proportional to success. Although 9 parents think that focusing on learning grammar negatively affects their speaking skills, 9 different parents disagree. All participants think it is important to practice. As a result; The majority of participants think that English is more than just a lesson. They are very eager for their children to learn English. They think English is essential for a good life. For all these reasons, I think this project will be useful.
