XI Liceum Ogólnokształcące w Krakowie is a comprehensive secondary school, which offers general education to 670 pupils 14-18 years old. All students continue learning English and choose a second foreign language among Spanish, Italian, German, French, and Russian. Our students vary in the aspect of family situation, economic background, academic capacities, and learning motivation. The majority of our students commute every day to Kraków from the nearby villages and towns. About 300 live in the local Nowa Huta district, originally designed and constructed as a town for workers of the huge Sendzimir steel mill. About 60 live in dormitories in the local area.

The staff in our school consists of 56 teachers and 11 administration and technical workers.

We would like to raise our students’ awareness and understanding of other cultures and develop their sense of European citizenship and identity. We want to promote language learning so that our students would be better prepared for the international labour market, and its opportunities. We want to provide them with the experience of collaborating in multicultural groups and developing their critical thinking and entrepreneurial skills.

Our school staff and the whole school community have experience in running international projects which we can contribute to the project. We have student exchange projects with schools from the Netherlands and Israel.
