International Days of Forest

  •

The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 21 March the International Day of Forests in 2012 to celebrate and raise awareness of the importance of all types of forests. Countries are encouraged to undertake local, national and international efforts to organize activities involving forests and trees, such as tree planting campaigns.

Please, share your any works about International Days of Forest in the twinboard below.

    Yeliz AKDEMİR/Karşıyaka Primary School

Tree seeds were distributed to the students of our school within the scope of the "Give Seeds and Turn Into Saplings" project, which was initiated in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the Ministry of National Education.

After the seed distribution, brief information about planting and growing seeds was given to our students by the teachers.
We believe that with the enthusiasm and interest of our children and the support of our parents, our seeds will turn into saplings and our saplings into trees.
