  • First Aid and possible risks in the institution

The Zoom Meeting was held on 29 January 2021 organized by the Red Cross of North Macedonia with all the institutions in our country.

Children spend most of their time in schools and are vulnerable to injuries and mild ailments, hence requiring first-aid care. School teachers can provide immediate first-aid care in the absence of any health professional. This meeting assessed first-aid facilities within school premises and assessment of teachers on first aid training.

During the online ZOOM training it was discussed about methods and tools which institutions in North Macedonia need to take to prevent any emergency. How to deal with the emergency and what they need to do it. It provided general information about emergencies and how to react in front of children’s.

Conclusion: Teaching in kindergartens will require a high level of first aid knowledge because teachers are often faced with emergency situations and because teachers and their assistants are the first to respond in most situations in which an injured child needs help.
