Safer Internet Day 2021

Together for a better internet

On Safer Internet Day the world comes together with a shared vision of making online experiences better for everyone.

The teachers and students in Lithuania were also celebrating the 9th of February, the Safer Internet Day.In our school the activities lasted the whole week (February 8-13). During this time junior pupils took part in various quizzez at school. A team of 22 pupils of the 6th form (teacher Genute)participated in a National  Quiz.They solved the themes"Online games","Personal Information on the Internet" ,"Harmful Content"and "The Internet Friends".

The aim of the event was to pay attention to digital challenges, to promote safer use of the internet and digital technologies.

Pupils in our progymnasium watched various videos in English and Lithuanian. They also created short stories, dialogues, or expressed their opinion writing about this issue.

Our students also worked in collaboration with the students of schools of Erasmus partnership “Europe- our Home”. Pupils were able to participate in the event through the website.

Through the collaboration on Answer garden we have created a big cloud of words answering a simple question “What do you like about the Internet?"
