Užgavėnės is a Lithuanian festival that takes place during the seventh week before Easter.

Užgavėnės begins on the night before Ash Wednesday, when More is burnt. A battle between Lašininis ("porky") personifying winter and Kanapinis (“hempen man") personifying spring is held.
