    Hello students!
    Here we are! Finally! The day of recordings, and film creation is here!! This is your last assignment.

     

    A) DESCRIPTION

    Each school was assigned with 2 stories, according to the MonkeySurvey's Results.
    In this assignment you are asked to study your stories and then:
    * Record the narration and dialogues for your stories
    * Find music to "dress up" the narration via creative commons website, in order to be legally according to the copyright.http://search.creativecommons.org/?lang=el
    * Find sounds to add to the track. You can find sounds via http://soundbible.com/
    * After reading the stories, try to imagine and draw a series of pictures in order to visualise the text into a picture
    * Find photos and create the final film via Windows Movie Maker or SOny Vegas Pro or create an animation using online programs like Powtoon

    B) ASSIGNMENTS
    1. create 2 international teams. cooperate with the students that wrote the stories your school chose. This way you will have some guidance on what the students were thinking when they wrote the stories and you can discuss with them how you imagine them when you read them. Through this cooperation you will have a more clear picture of where you are heading.
    2. form 2 groups, one for each narration/dialogue recording
    3. form a group for finding music and sounds for the specific stories
    4. combine the narration/dialogue recordings with the music and sounds for creating the final audio file
    5. form a group of students to find photos that are related to the stories descriptions.
    6. form a group that will create the film, combining the photos and audio file into one movie file.
    7. form a group that will read all the scenarios and draw pictures that will be included into the final ebook.
    C) WEBTOOLS/PROGRAMS
    • Creative commons site, in order to find material that is free of use https://creativecommons.org/
    • Audacity http://www.audacityteam.org/  After downloading this program, you will use it to record the narrations/dialogues and add the music and sounds that you will find online. then mix the sound for producing the final audio file. Your teachers will show you in the pc lab how to use the program
    • Windows Movie Maker(WMM) or Sony Vegas Pro(SVP).
      WMM is already installed in your pc and it is a program for doing montage. Here you can mix the audio file with the series of pictures and create a final film.
      The same job can be done using a more professional program that is NOT free of use. For some of you who already have it, feel free to use it!
    • Powtoon https://www.powtoon.com/index/
      You can use powtoon if you will choose to create an animated video file. Feel free to use any other similar program that you feel more comfortable with.

    E) LEARNING OBJECTIVES

    Students are expected to:

    • learn when they are allowed to use online material. To learn about credits that must be given to the authors when they use material that it is under specific rights, or learn that they can freely use  material that specifically are described as such.
    • learn how to use Audacity for recording and editing sounds
    • learn how to use WMM or SVP for movie creation
    • learn how to create animated films
    • be able to cooperate with others (international teams)
    • unwrap their creative forces through story-telling and painting/sketching
