The cave of "La Foux de Sainte-Anne"

  • Located near Toulon, the Sainte-Anne d'Évenos cave is an ideal place to discover the underground karstic environment. The virtual tour allows you to visit this privately owned cave, to which access is regulated. It was created by the students of the Pierre de Coubertin middle school as part of their Erasmus+ project, Groundwater: learn to preserve the European underground environment. It can be used in cycles 3 and 4 to illustrate the notion of water resources and as part of a DNL lesson. The documents are written in English and the lesson can be downloaded directly from the tour or from the EduMed teachers' room. The virtual visit we are proposing was created in partnership with the association SpéléH2O and the Eaux souterraines device. It is not a substitute for fieldwork. Depending on your educational choices, it will allow you to :

    - To discover the underground environment and the safety constraints imposed by its visit

    - To prepare your field trip, wherever it may be, by proposing to your students a preliminary work on the following skills:

    • Observe
    • Read a geological map
    • A section
    • Make a Sketch
    • Use a determination key...

    - To come back and deepen your field observations

    - To discover and work on the outcrops of the cave, forbidden to free visits

    - To use it in an evaluation situation
