An average italian family consumes about i 2700 KWh in a year, so it produces about 951kg of CO2 every year.
In Italy most of the energy comes from non- renewable sources and this fact produces lots of CO2 emissions in the air with a strong environmental impact on the environment.
So it’s extremely necessary to reduce energy waste, because only in that way we can help reduce CO2 emissions .
In Italy we celebrate the day “M’illumino di meno” . It’s a special day to make people think about energy waste and the necessity for energy reduction . The lights of some important squares and monuments, and of many private houses are switched off on that day . 2021 edition is on 26 march .
