An average italian family consumes about i 2700 KWh in a year, so it produces about 951kg of CO2 every year. In Italy most of the energy comes from non- renewable sources and this fact produces lots of CO2 emissions in the air with a strong environmental impact on the environment. So it’s extremely necessary to reduce energy waste, because only in that way we can help reduce CO2 emissions .In Italy we celebrate the day “M’illumino di meno” . It’s a special day to make people think about energy waste and the necessity for energy reduction . The lights of some important squares and monuments, and of many private houses are switched off on that day . 2021 edition is on 26 march .
