    DEAR ETWINNING TEACHERS,

WHAT'S YOUR OPINION OF THE PROJECT?

You can take into account these questions:

    1. Have you enjoyed the international collaboration?

    2. What impact did it have on your work as a teacher?

    3. What did you like most and what was the biggest challenge?

    4. Was it easy/difficult to work on the project in the time of corona?

    5. What do you think was the impact of the project on your students?

  • TEACHERS' OPINION

    Arleta, teacher form Poland

1.Yes, working together is inspiring, you can always learn sth new.
    2. Working on eTwinning projects I’ve discovered quite a lot of ICT tools, which I now use working online. In this project I’ve discovered webpages for creating memes, graffiti online, qr codes.
    3. I enjoyed the tasks we prepared for SID. At that time my group was working on online graffitis and avatars giving advice about eSafety.
    4. Partly it was easier - we were working in front of computers all the time. Partly it was more difficult – I couldn’t take my students to the computer lab and see how they’re coping with the problems.
    5. I hope they became more sensitive to issues such cyberbulling, fake news, data protection, copyright.

    Mercè, teacher from Germany

    1. I find it amazing how an idea can develop in such creative results thanks to the collaboration of teachers and pupils together.
    2. I have got to know different tools which I can now use in other areas of my lessons.
    3. I was very happy to be able to offer the pupils the possibility to work in very different tasks and use their creativity and their imagination.
    4. It is difficult not having the pupils in front of you and not seeing their reactions. You have to rely on them. It was also difficult not being able to present the topic in the SID to other pupils in our school, but the Internet offers many possibilities.
    5. I realized that some pupils hadn't given much thought to some of the topics, for example copyright. I think they will have learnt something they need to know now at school but also afterwards.

    Annalisa from Pisa-Italy

    1. I enjoyed a lot collaboration among European teachers, each of us can bring different and important competences to improve the project.
    2. I was very happy to make my students work and learn about e-safety in this project.
    3. The biggest challenge was to make students' parents understand that their children were not losing their time using digital tools but they were learning English and how to behave on the Internet.
4.It wasn't difficult at all, because we have been having lessons at distance since last school year and my students are very comfortable with it, what's more, they are very happy to work with other same age students even if they met them only virtually.
    5. My students were very interested in the topics of the project, that make them aware of some problems like copyright and cyberbullying. They are very sorry that the project is over.

    Daniela, teacher from Alcamo, Italy

The project carried out together was a very positive experience, both as a teacher and as a person.
I think that our generation of teachers is very lucky to have this opportunity to easily create collaborations with colleagues from other countries. Exchange is enrichment.
I really enjoyed giving my pupils the opportunity to participate, and their enthusiasm and willingness to participate was the best thing. The difficulty was to reconcile our normal activities with these extra activities, also because in a period of distance learning we try to avoid overloading the students. My students saw an opportunity for growth thanks to the project and asked me to do another one as soon as possible!

    Türkay Teacher from YFL Mersin/Turkey

1.It was a great experience not only for me but also for my students. We learned a lot and the meetings with the participants and students made us happy and excited.
2.With this project,I started using various ICT tools and this will be very helpful for me in my lessons.
3.Working on QR codes was fun.It was new both for me ad my students. The only difficulty we had was having to do all the explanations online which sometimes caused our students not to be able to understand us properly.
4.Our students spent nearly all their time at home during the pandemic and they needed new hobbies, activities and responsibilities so this project helped them start using their freetime efficiently again.
5.They were all using social media intensely, but they weren't aware of the dangers and risks of it.This project was a great chance for them to raise awareness to e~safety.

    Şebnem,teacher from YFL Mersin,Turkey

1.Absolutely a lot.In the period of pandemic,it was extremely nice to be able to communicate with teachers from Europe and learn about their experiences.
2.I used to know about the importance of e~safety, but with the help of this project,I am more qualified about the issue now.I discovered new ICT tools and I am planning to use them in my lessons more often.
3.I liked the topic Bullying most because we created mixed teams for that activity and I like international collaboration.
4.My students have been working online for almost a year and they have got used to it,but sometimes it was hard for me to make them complete the tasks on time.
5.They had great fun during our meetings and they made friends with the students from other countries. As social media is very important for them with the help of this project, they said that they started being more careful on social media.

    Irini, teacher from Athens, Greece

As a teacher of English I find international communication adds an extra dimension to the subject I teach. It is of no coincidence that students were mostly intrigued by the live meetings organised. Even the most timid ones enjoyed the artistic aspect of designing a project logo! The pandemic has certainly increased the time children spend online so they have greatly appreciated the information and advice they were provided with. They have also expressed their intention of raising awareness to younger students and participating in similar projects in the future.
