Students survey
Student's opinion
The results of student post-surveys were analysed by Meltem Akdeniz-Şaban Temuge Vocational and Technical High School.
The Analysis of the student post-survey results:
We implemented post-surveys for our students at the end of the project. The results gave us ideas about the impact of our project on the students and the ways to follow for our future project activities.
According to the project, all of the students (100%) rate the project “L@ngu@ges4all” with the highest two scores. The main reason for this is including students at all stages of the project from planning to implementation. As the project gave the students chances to shape the activities, they are satisfied with the tasks and activities conducted.
97,8 % of the students tells that they enjoyed taking part in our project. It means that the project has achieved to engage students with fun and interesting activities. Student satisfaction indicates that these students can be involved in future project activities as mentor students for peer learning. They have acquired knowledge and skills on how to carry out project tasks, how to use WEB2.0 tools and project TwinSpace, what to pay attention to for eSafety. Their involvement in future projects as mentors or group leaders for new eTwinners can make our projects more student-oriented.
Communicational skills are among the key competencies on which “L@ngu@ges4all” project focuses. 93,5 % of the students tells that the project helped them improve their communicational skills. This high percentage shows us the project has achieved to support communicational skills through teamwork, a rich variety of collaborative activities, peer-learning activities and virtual cooperation. For our future projects, we can follow a similar approach to foster communicational skills.
According to the pre-survey results implemented at the beginning of the project, 41,6 % of the students would attend an eTwinning project for the first time. As the post-survey results show that 95,7 % of the students want to take part in future projects, it means that our project has achieved to ensure student participation to a very high degree. It has motivated new eTwinners to attend similar eTwinning projects in the future. The project has introduced eTwinning projects to new groups of students by motivating them to take part in future projects.
Another important result of the post-survey is that 97,8% of the students think that the project plan and activities are well integrated into the school subjects. It is something that we aim with this project by embedding project activities in our regular school subjects. As required by the content of the project, we have carried out project activities embedded in different school topics, especially foreign language lessons. Not only have our project objectives been more meaningful and permanent for the students, but the teachers have also learned to enrich their in-class activities by learning new practices from each other.
