"For 1000 Joys" - EMBRACE THE WORLD!

"Za 1000 radosti" - ZAGRLI SVIJET!

Elementary school of Vladimir Nazor Pribislavec has joined the traditional national Christmas action of the Croatian Caritas  “For 1000 Joys"- EMBRACE THE WORLD! intended for collecting aid for the poorest families in Croatia. eTwinners have joined the action and thereby carried out the participation of students in the humanitarian action planned for December 2015. eTwinners have visited all the younger classes of our school, introduced the students with the project, gave them each card-pendants and collected donations.

With this project we want to develop the values of solidarity, sacrifice and social sensitivity among our students as well as encourage them to become active agents of change in society, starting with the local community.

For promotional products of action this year Croatian Caritas has prepared  conveniently illustrated card-pendants Embrace the world – with values like smiling, kindness, with gratitude, hope, devotion, celebration, love, talent, forgiveness, service, diligence and patience.

Cards with an elastic ribbon can be attached to the school bag, pencil case, zipper on the jacket or sports bag and were sold at a symbolic price of 5.00 kunas (approximately € 0.65).

Donations collected by this action will be divided so that 50% collected money will be donated to a poor family in our village, and the other 50% is sent to Croatian Caritas to help poor families across Croatia.
