Advent is a season observed in many Western Christian churches as a time of expectant waiting and preparation for the celebration of the Nativity of Jesus at Christmas. This project is intended to provide our students with the opportunity to share their traditions during Advent and Christmas celebration with their eTwinning partners. We want to focus the attention of students on spiritual values, as opposed to commercialized approach to Christmas. Project activities will be aimed at raising awareness among students about the importance of helping others and doing good deeds. Students will collect and present photos with their activities during Advent and Christmas to be collated along with others from the project to create a presentation of Advent and Christmas traditions in our countries. This will increase our students’ awareness of similarities and differences within Advent and Christmas celebrations between countries.
