e-hugs 😷

  • DISPLAY WALL

Nearly three months of confinement (from mid-March to June 2020) may seem a relatively short span of time, but how long is it for a teenager? How long, in the middle of an emergency that will probably change our lifestyle and our way of relating to the world?

These are the walls of three schools in inland Catalonia, a virtual space where students aged 14 to 16 would 'meet up' while confined at home in order to share their feelings and fears in a creative way, sending to the world positive e-hugs full of love and hope against COVID-19.

Every e-hug is a message in a bottle, words shared and 'liked' at distance in digital classrooms, within the school community and far beyond through the vast net...

Come in and check out the interactive exhibit 'e-hugs against COVID-19'.
You can react to the students' messages with a LIKE!

    1. INS L'Arboç (3ESO)

Sending e-hugs allows us to keep in touch with the world out there, despite home confinement and social distancing. But it also reports endless health and emotional benefits, as we tend to highlight on the positive and place the focus on others rather than just ourselves.

    2. INS Joan Segura i Valls (2ESO - 3ESO)

During this pandemic, we have been locked in our homes for some time. That happened all of a sudden. At first, we were schocked, but little by little we understood what we had to do: stay home to protect ourselves and others, in short, to help.

With this padlet we have given out students the opportunity and the challenge of being generous by sending positive messages and e-hugs to everyone.

    3. IE Pi del Burgar (3ESO - 4ESO)

This pandemic has deprived us all of hugs and kisses with the people we love. Thus, we thought to give students the chance to send e-hugs over the net. Here's the result:
