  • 1. Mind Map: Food and Drinks - Bubbl.us 

    The students have successfully completed the first activity. They made mind maps by sorting out words related to Food and Drinks into the following categories: vegetables, fruit, dairy products, grain, drinks. The students used a digital tool Bubbl.us. 

    2. Writing a Recipe

    The students have successfully completed the second activity. They used vocabulary related to food preparation and cooking tools to write their own recipes. Some of the students wrote recipes in Word documents and some in their notebooks. They really enjoyed the activity and used some of the recipes to prepare delicious meals. The students also did peer evaluation and chose top-three recipes. Here are some of their works:

    3. Street Food Around the World

    My students have completed the 3rd activity: Street Food Around the World. Since they were doing part of their research online, they first watched a short video „Safety on the Internet“ and wrote on linoit some possible dangers of using the Internet. Here are some of their answers. Next, they did a research on the Street Food Around the World by using their textbooks and the Internet. Finally, they created PowerPoint presentations and recorded themselves while presenting. The students put a lot of effort in this task and as a result I got some great videos. The students really enjoyed the task and developed their ICT skills by using some new digital tools like Loom.

    4. Survey - Healthy Eating Habits

    The students from OŠ Julija Benešića, Ilok have successfully completed the 4th activity - Survey on Healthy Eating Habits. The students filled in the survey and the teacher analyzed the data. After that, the teacher discussed the results of the survey with the students in the virtual classroom. The survey provided very important data to the teacher and students' answers served as a gudiance for the 5th activity The Eatwell Guide.

    5. Poster: The Eatwell Guide

    My students have completed the 5th activity - The Eatwell Guide. They used all three techniques (drawing and colouring, collage and digital tool - canva) and made some wonderful posters. You can their works in the video.

     

    6. Song about Food

    The students from OŠ Julija Benešića, Ilok have successfully completed the last activity in our project. They wrote the lyrics for the songs and preformed them. Some of them chose the traditional way while others opted for a rap song. Here are their songs:

    Evaluation of the project

    The students took part in the survey and the results of it can be found in ppt under Materials. The aims of the project were fullfilled. The students acquired new vocabulary related to food and drinks. They improved their digital competences and they develped their creative skills. The students also developed the sense of autonomy, especially because the activities were done during distant online teaching. The students enjoyed the project as it can be seen from their answers. 

    The partners also took part in a survey designed for them. They stated that the project had a positive impact on their teaching practice and that they were satisfied with it in general. The results of the survey can be found in ppt under Materials.
