  • Evaluation form responses

Today, 13th December 2021, the Erasmus Project ‘Let’s Make our own business’ started in the Italian town of Cuneo, with students and teachers from Croatia, Greece, The Netherlands and Turkey, hosted by the Italian team.

The morning  was spent in the Town Hall, where both the city counsellor and the Grandis school principal welcomed and greeted the participants. Here students from the different nationalities presented their country and town, and a market research they prepared. To conclude this rich morning, an entrepreneur of the Gufram business explained how his company was born and developed in an original and creative way, thus underlining the basic principles for a business.

After a lunch in the courtyard of the Grandis school, there was the first meeting of the 5 international  groups of students, to start thinking about a new business to create. After that, both the teachers and the students were guided through the historical centre of Cuneo, to discover its history and  art.

    2nd Erasmus Day in Cuneo

Today, 14th December 2021, on the 2nd day of Erasmus project in Cuneo , we started with an IT lesson with an Italian IT teacher who gave us information about the software and applications that can be used to design LOGOS. Then the students began working in groups on the creation of the logo for their business idea. After a lunch break at Grandis school students and teachers moved to the seat of the industrial union, where they followed a presentation by Elena Angaramo about the economic sector in the province of Cuneo, and a comparison among the economic situations and goals of the participating countries, discovering really interesting and unexpected realities. Finally, the rest of the afternoon has been left free to stroll around Cuneo enjoying the market (which is held every Tuesday in the centre) and the spectacular view of the snow capped mountains surrounding the town.

    3rd Erasmus Day  (15 December, 2021)

the 3rd day of our mobility in Cuneo started with work of international groups, at the  HQ of Grandis school. At 11 we left to go towards langhe, the hilly region recognised as UNESCO World Heritage site for its vineyards and long standing traditions. Here we visited a wine cellar and had the chance of tasting both their exquisite wines and the typical food of the region. We finished our trip with a stop in Alba, the main town of the area, where we visited the old city centre and Cathedral of St Lorenzo.

4th day of Erasmus project in Turin (16 December, 2021)

Today 16th December we left early towards Turin, the capital of Piedmont, which was the 1st capital of Italy and the seat of the Savoy royal family, where a lot of historical palaces witness its glorious past, and are now UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

We visited the Lavazza Museum, where the history of the Lavazza family and company is magnificently displayed together with explanations of how the production and advertising processes work. The visit ended with a tasting of the famous Torinese ‘bicerin’ in a cooky cup (a mixture of coffee chocolate and cream in an eatable cup). After that we enjoyed a sightseeing tour of the city centre, followed by some shopping along the porticoed streets.

5th day of Erasmus project in Cuneo (17 December, 2021)

Our last day started with students’ group work to finish the presentation of their business idea and to print (with laser machine) its logo . As a conclusion they presented their work at the seat of the ‘Historical Institute of Resistance’ , with the city councillor’s presence. The foreign students and teachers also received their attendance certificate.

The last afternoon was spent either hanging around the town, or walking in the river park .

The Erasmus week together finishes with a farewell dinner in an Italian typical restaurant, but we lived together, and shared will remain with us for ever..
