WELCOME MESSAGE :)

  • Our vision: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed it’s the only thing that ever has." (Margaret Mead)

Our mission: Empower learners to think globally, to address Sustainable Development Goals and global challenges  to make the world a better place.

We are Juliette Bentley from Australia and Maria Silva from Portugal and we welcome you to this thrilling ASEF ClassNet Online Collaborations for 2020.

We wish to inspire and be inspired by teachers and students across Asia and Europe to take action for the good of our communities and the planet while supporting the Global Goals for Sustainable Development (SDG) and gaining an deeper understanting of the role of Artifical Intelligence in fostering Gender-equity.

This will be our common platform where students and teachers can interact and collaborate safely  on the project: it is called The Twinspace.

This is our project's twinspace QR code

If we have accepted this challenge it is because we are determined to become positive change-makers. Not only do we wish to learn, discuss and elaborate on the concept of sutainable development goals, Artificial Intelligence and Gender-Equality but we also aspire to become active responsible citizen ourselves.

The main objective of our project is to plant and nurture, in our minds and hearts, the seeds of justice, peace and intercultural understanding for a sustainable life on our planet so as to embrace Joseph Campbell´s view on the meaning of life :

Our Twinspace is up and running, members will be registered and profiles edited.

In our initial phase we should get to know each other as much as possible and to find out some basic information about the participating schools.

We will open forum sections to share information about our classes, schools and towns and some cultural bits about the countries involved.

A special request to students:  please do respond to posts sent by your friends from other countries. Your response will make the project truly collaborative and interactive. It is very important to go through the basic netiquette rules.

WeI must also point out that in case you come across anything that violates the netiquette code then please report it to your teachers.

Thank you very much for your enthusiasm. Hope you will find the project inspiring and highly educational.

Let's have some fun first. Take this challenge and try to solve the puzzle.
