    Förderschule Schwerpunkt Lernen

The main objective at the Wilhelm-Busch Schule is to help children who would have difficulties in the 3-part mainstream educational system in Germany. This is an opportunity for 60-70 pupils to learn and work to achieve two different qualifications including GCSE equivalents.

The school is situated in rural surroundings, in close proximity to the „Steinhuder Meer“, a large lake. The city of Hannover is also only 40 km away. Because we are based in the countryside, a lot of the pupils catch a bus to school.

Lessons and other activities like PE or creative classes are offered until 3.40pm on four afternoons every week, two of which are mandatory for pupils in year five and older. Pupils can eat a warm meal in the new canteen.

Seeing their own success, achieving goals and experiencing life in a community improves our pupils‘ self-confidence and prepares them for an independent life, taking responsibility for themselves, others and their surroundings.
