Carnival in Portugal has a long tradition and ancient roots. It began to be celebrated in Portugal from the 15th century.Although there are influences from Brazil, Portugal has a Carnival with its own characteristics in various locations in the country, such as in Ovar, Estareja, Torres Vedras, Podence, Loures, Loulé ...

Our 3rd and 5th year students were asked to do some research on how Carnival is celebrated in Portugal.
