Every year 14 October is a special day for Polish teachers. They celebrate Teacher's Day. There are no lessons at that day, only an official ceremony, where the headmistress speaks and students present different things. I was there today with the teachers and students. Everybody looked so elegant in their formal clothes. Teachers got flowers and sweets from students. In Zespół Szkół nr 3 there's a tradition that students choose the best teachers in couple of categories. The prize is a statue (like Oscar!). I have a photo with one of them. They call it "Belfer" instead of Oscar in this school and they are made by an Art teacher.
