ITALIAN TEAM GARDEN
Creation of the small garden on the terrace of the school.
The team of the students taking part to the project together with the schoolmates and teachers have planted aromatic plants and herbs, in big containers located on the large terrace of the school. They are taking care of the plants in order to use them during the practical lessons in the kitchen. These herbs will be used for the preparation of dishes during the activities carried out in the kitchen of the school.
The growing of this small garden lets them to stay in contact with the nature, to become green chef, to care about ecological issues sensitizing the students to consume biological products appreciating the pleasure of using fresh and tasty products.
During the planting the teachers have explained the origins of the plants, their characteristics and their usage in the culinary sectors and in medicine.
