Our school’s 50th anniversary in Coria del Río (Sevilla, Spain) provided the key to research how education and schools have been transformed as a reflection of changes in these 50 years; hence, we realized that school subjects in 70’s were mainly related to tradition and ordinary life and schools had strong roots in communities; these days, there has been a breach in confidence between schools and families due to among other facts, subjects are now very distant from families’ experiences and capacities. Therefore, together with schools from Italy, Bulgaria, Poland and Ireland sharing same issues, we considered that researching relevant areas concerning heritage as essential in the creation of societies & education , we would be able to draw actors other than teachers as students’ source of information and indirectly, we would bring school & families together.
