    A Story about the forest

    By Chatzigiannidou Stefania

    (SHORT STORY)

Me: And next, we will be discussing a short story that involves the forest. I want you to recount a personal story that has to do with the forest.

Grandma: One time when I was around sixteen years old, I was heading to the forest, to our fields. I was riding a donkey and on my way there, I encountered a huge snake. I dismounted from my donkey, I grabbed three small rocks and threw them towards the snake because this was...

Me: This was what people used to do at that time...?

Grandma: Yes, and then I kept going despite being very scared. I continued my way to the field.

Me: You must've been truly frightened.

    Grandma: Certainly, snakes are frightening.

Me: Thank you very much for sharing the story with me and for answering my questions!

    Grandma: You're welcome!

    Snakes in Greece

Are there many poisonous snakes in Greece? Is there a difference between, say, northern and southern part? Are the same snakes to be found on the islands?

Answer :There is only one kind of poisonous snake in Greece, the viper.

    Stories with snakes

Stories with snakes are also very common in Portugal. We have also shared such an event for the project. Our snakes are not dangerous but people are scared of them.
