    FOSBOS Bayreuth , Germany

    The FOSBOS Bayreuth is a vocational secondary school with a special focus on merging theoretical school education with practical and professional skills. As our school name suggests, we are located in Bayreuth, a city with roughly 80 000 inhabitants in the north of Bavaria, Germany. Our classes only start in grade 10 since all of our students have either finished German Realschule beforehand or even completed some kind of vocational training. All of our pupils strive to pass the final exams and graduate with the German “Abitur“, which entitles them to study at all national and international universities.
    The school‘s departments of study (specializations) are: health studies, social studies, technology, arts and economics. Regarding foreign languages, all of our students have to take English classes and some also choose to study French or Spanish as a second foreign language.

    IES JM Barandiaran BHI

    IES Barandiaran BHI is located in the Basque Country in northern Spain and is a public high school that offers compulsory and non-compulsory secondary education, baccalaureate, vocational training: parapharmacy and pharmacy and dietetics and nutrition (higher level) and has two classrooms for students with special educational needs. It is located in Leioa (Bizkaia), a few kilometres from Bilbao, and has about 630 students (aged 12-20) and more than 70 teachers.

    The main projects the school is involved in deal with the development of multilingual linguistic competence, methodological change (use of ICT for learning and knowledge, cooperative learning, flipped classroom), digital competence, STEAM, inclusion and environment and sustainability.

    Institut Olivar Gran - Catalonia (Spain)

    Institut Olivar Gran is located in Figueres (Catalonia), in northern Spain but near the French border. It is a public secondary school that offers compulsory secondary education, baccalaureate and vocational training specialized in the Hospitality Industry: Cooking and Gastronomy, Bakery, Pastry and Confectionery, Service in Restaurants. Also Kitchen Management (higher level) and has some classrooms for students with special educational needs. Our school has about 750 students and about 80 teachers.

    The school has a strong multilingual project and during the Secondary Education, Vet, Baccalaureate and A Degrees both French and English are taught. We are involved in a variety of projects dealing with languages, ICT, innovation and methodological change in VET (PBL, cooperative learning, flipped classroom), among others. Digital competence, inclusion and environment and sustainability are also promoted in the school.

    Our school is located in Lipari, the largest island of the Aeolian Islands, off the north-east coast of Sicily. I
    Our school has got 500 students, aged from 14 to 19, ( from all the Aeolian Islands: Lipari, Vulcano, Salina, Panarea, Stromboli, Alicudi and Filicudi), 64 qualified teachers and 13 administrative and technical staff. Our school has a Foreign Language High School course (with English, French and Arabic languages), a Scientific High School course, an Applied Sciences High School course and a Technical Institute with two different departments: 1) Economic: - Management, Finance and Marketing course - Business/ Management Information Systems course - Tourism course (with English, French, Spanish, German languages) 2) Technological: - Construction, Environment, Territory course - Agriculture, Agro- Industry, Agri-food course.
