KA229: Food - connecting people

twinspace-logo

Food – a topic with the power to connect people. Whether it be at a dinner table or at a business lunch of international colleagues: it can bridge cultural differences in a second. Moreover, food is part of the cultural heritage. Each country in our E+ project makes an individual contribution, offering culinary specialties related to national traditions. The German "region of delight" Upper Franconia (location of coordinating school) was awarded the UNESCO label "Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity". Our partner schools in Italy & Spain are situated in Mediterranean areas whose diet was also given this title, stressing the cultural importance of food. Also, healthy eating habits and environmental issues remain relevant in times of increasing sedentary activities in our students' lives. In our project we are going to investigate all those aspects and hopefully make our students enjoy working on this broad topic.
