Escola EBI/JI José Carlos da Maia is located in a small town in the Algarve, south of Portugal. The Algarve is a well-known tourist destination in Europe due to its nice climate all year round and beautiful beaches.
There are around 550 pupils aged 10-15 (grades 5-9) and over 70 teachers in our school. We have been involved in international projects since 2007.
We are integrated in a school cluster with another secondary school, 6 primary schools and 5 kindergartens. The name of the school cluster is Agrupamento de Escolas Professor Paula Nogueira.
