WORK PROCESS
October-November: Introduction
-Add students to our Twinspace
-Custom their profiles, make avatars, and write a few words about themselves
-Fill in the questionnaire about their expectations of the project on Google forms
-Brainstorming ideas, tagxedo/word cloud
-Make a logo to take part in the contest and a dissemination poster for our school eTwinning board
-Present our class, school, area, country to each other, ppt/emaze/prezi/video/poster etc
-Celebrate European Day of Languages alltogether on line
November-December: Part 1 "Timeline for Historical Ages"
Mixed groups of students
-will create a timeline describing the basic ages of history with common presentations and pin them on a Padlet
-Make collaborative quiz for their peers on Tricider and perform it in their classrooms with their classmates
Christmas
-Make a collaborative presentation on Google Slides about Christmas and a quiz. Meet online for a common Christmas celebration and do the quiz together
January-February: Part 2a "Important historical landmarks in Ancient and Medieval Ages on Google Maps"
Mixed groups of students
- will explore ANCIENT and MEDIEVAL ages and discover important historical events
- will pin these significant historical landmarks with links, photos, ppts etc on a collaborative Google Map
- Create collaborative quizzes and perform it in their classrooms with their classmates
-Celebrate Safer Internet Day (SID)
March-April: Part 2b "Important historical landmarks in Modern and Contemporary Ages on Google Maps"
Mixed groups of students
- will explore MODERN and CONTEMPORARY ages and discover important historical events and their impact on the course of time
- will pin these significant historical landmarks with links, photos, ppts etc on a collaborative Google Map
- Create collaborative quizzes and perform it in their classrooms with their classmates
-Celebrate the Bicentennial of the Greek War of Independence
April-May: Part 3 "Famous People of All Times"
-Students will discover important people who took part with their decisions or actions to our history. They will perform a webquest to find information
-Students will present historical figures (politicians, warriors, scientists, philosophers etc) of their cultures, make a profile card on a group on Canvas
-The students will create presentations on Google forms and/or emaze.com to show how their hometowns evolved through the passage of historical ages we explored presenting local history.
-Celebrate the eTwinning Day online all together
June: Part 4 "Let the Games Begin"
- The students will create quizzes and/or games to evaluate gained knowledge about Parts 1, 2 and 3 (Kahoot, Triventy, Canva)
-The students will design and create a "Guess who" game for the school classroom to present the historical figures of our civilisations, print them and play the game in the classrooms
-The students will meet online to play the games
-The students and teachers will complete evaluation questionnaires about the project
-The teachers will create a newsletter on smore.com to share the project on their schools' websites and social media
-The teachers will apply for a Quality Label
FORUM:
- The students will debate on most important events and historical figures
-The students will choose their favourite event, figure
