    Create Your Profile

    ACTIVITY 1: Getting started

We are going to start being familiar with the project. We want to know how to enter there, and we are also going to introduce ourselves by writing our profiles.

The Twinspace. What it is. Access to Twinspace

The Twinspace is the page where we are going to work and meet new people. Some parts are public (everybody can see them) and some parts are private: Only people in the project (teachers and students) can have access to it. Your teacher will provide you our address, a username and a password, so that you can see both private and public parts. Check that you can enter without any problem, or ask your teacher if that’s not the case.

    Create our Profile

Our profile is part of OUR PRIVATE Twinspace. Nobody outside the project can see it. However, this is something that all the members of our project can see, so write things you are confident with. It’s the first idea they are going to have about you, so make an effort when you write it.

    • Information to write there

You have been provided with a file with ideas to write there. Show your English. Make it interesting for the others.

    • Placing a photograph

You could upload your photo if you feel it convenient. It is a safe environment, only members of our project can see it, but as you are under 18, you need your parents’ permission to do so. Other options are creating an avatar (you have an address to do so, “My Blue Robot”), or selecting a photo you feel may represent you. It must be ORIGINAL, do not take it from the Internet.

    Welcoming other students

If the other students have introduced their profiles, Read them. You can welcome them to Twinspace too. Be always polite! And be careful as well: everybody in the project could be able to see what you write on other people’s profile as a comment. If you want to address only that person you should email him or her.

    Deadline

This activity must be finished for November 13th.
