The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as mentioned in the UN website are" the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate, environmental degradation, prosperity, and peace and justice. The Goals interconnect and in order to leave no one behind, it is important that we achieve each Goal and target by 2030." In this project we will collect, analyze, and exchange information with our local and foreign partners about how much SDGs are taken in consideration to provide a better school environment for our students. Each month we will focus with our partners on three of the SDGs, starting from November 2019 and finishing in April 2020. Partners can choose which SDGs that they will work on depending on their school year calendar, and what activities they can do for each goal. We as cofounders will provide a list of activities for different age ranges and subjects, so that other partners can choose what can work for them. In this project our students will learn more about other schools from around the world, and the importance of SDGs in providing a better school environment. Local community members will be encouraged to become active partners with schools to achieve SDGs for better school environment. Our student's journey will be shared using the school page and the e-Twinning space in both Arabic and English The project will run from October 2019 and finish in May 2020, and it will include schools from Jordan and from other countries.
