A plan made of many seconds

  • Welcome to the world of 1 second!

Let's explore together the power of one second. Is one second enough to make any substantial changes in the world? Is it not?

We are going to research and find out.

Let's embark on this adventure together!

    Important notice!

Don't forget to have the parents/legal gardians of the students sign a CONSENT on the participation in the project and publishing the works, creations, photo & video contents of the students on the Internet. See a sample on the Twin Board below.

Here is a draft of the plan.

Feel free to comment in the Padlet below if you have any suggestions or additional ideas to this plan or vote for an additional idea.

    Work Process:

    October - November

    • Creating 1 second Video Diaries. For one week students will record 1 second of their life every day and make a video compilation of these seconds to post on the Twin Space

    • Making Personal Avatars

    • Guessing and matching the Video Diary with the "This is Me!" Avatars

    December- January

    • Collaborative team work in Research Labs by topic (Humanitarian Studies, Environment, Science, Art, Personality, Astronomy) led by the Project Experts, to study what can happen/happens/happened in 1 second in various fields of study and posting the results on an online Google collaborative PPT.

    February - March

    • Designing “What happens in 1 Second in ...” infographics based on the Labs results

    • Writing collaborative white poems entitled “1 Second” in the same mixed nationality teams

    • Creating quizzes based on the info posted in the “What happens in 1 Second in ...” Infographics

    April -May

    • Studying the Infographics and taking the Quizzes

    • Creating the “One second after” story in collaboration where every team is going to imagine a point in time where suddenly all goes wring and make up a fictional narrative story meant to make people understand the gravity of the problem or the some aspects that we never think about.

    • Creating “My message to the world” Mural or Video made up of student individual contributions by having each student of the team to express a message to reflect the short term decissions that have a long term impact on various aspects of the human life or nature.

    • Project evaluation
