O projekcie
The project focuses on Maths, English and IT at high school level (students aged about 15). We would like to suggest the idea of using the potential of some of the students to help the ones, facing difficulties in this field, understand some hard Maths problems. In practice, we are thinking of asking some of our students to create video tutorials in English in which they will explain some Maths problems. We believe their creativity, sense of humour, energy may result in some amazing videos. Prior to that, we should get to know each other by introducing our schools, Maths teachers, syllabuses.
Cele
- development of Maths competence (the 9th year syllabus)
- increased motivation for Maths learning for both the ones who will make videos (adopting a role of a teacher) and the ones watching them
- increase of Maths vocabulary in English
- development of group work skills (brainstorming ideas, tasks distribution, meeting deadlines)
- development of ICT skills (film editing, creating online quizzes with the use of Quizizz or Google forms, Twin Space tools, Padlet)
-development of creative thinking (how to present a given Maths topic to make it interesting for peers)

Maths teachers - compilation of a list of Maths problems for tutorials (2 for each school and a common one), setting up students groups and organizing their work, making sure the Maths content is correct, providing help with ICT (film editing, Quizziz, Google forms, padlet)
English teachers-helping with Maths terms in English,checking the correctness
Students will create 4 tutorials in national groups (exchanging information of specific difficulties on a given topic with the partner schools), 4 online feedback tests, a padlet dictionary of Maths terms in English, a common tutorial in an international group, exchange feedback
30.09.19: Respective syllabuses analysed, a list of 5 Maths problems for tutorials created, groupwork organised
31.10.19 a video “Let’s get to know each other” (about 5 min)

Projekt eTwinning
„Smart Cookies – peer learning in Maths going viral” dotyczy matematyki, języka angielskiego i TIK.
Zakłada współpracę pomiędzy IV Liceum Ogólnokształcącym im. gen. Stanisława Maczka w Katowicach, a Prywatną Żydowską Szkołą Ulus w Beşiktaş w Turcji w okresie od 23.09.2019r. do 31.03.2019r.
W projekcie wykorzystamy metodę aktywizującą –„peer learning” oraz pracę metodą projektu, aby zaangażować uczniów do tworzenia tzw.”tutoriali”, czyli krótkich filmów video z instruktażem, jak rozwiązywać danym problem matematyczny.
Uczniowie, pracując w grupach metodą projektu, będą tworzyć takie filmy, ucząc w nich swoich rówieśników zleconego przez nauczyciela zagadnienia. Nauczyciele matematyki ze szkół partnerskich przeanalizują program nauczania matematyki w klasie pierwszej szkoły średniej i wybiorą po 2 zagadnienia do realizacji dla grupy uczniów polskich oraz 2 zagadnienia dla uczniów tureckich. Uczniowie polscy będą tworzyć „tutoriale” dla uczniów tureckich i odwrotnie. Wspólnie stworzą film do ostatniego, piątego zagadnienia. Oprócz filmików, uczniowie stworzą narzędzia online (korzystając z Google forms, portalu Quizziz), dostarczające informację zwrotną, co zapamiętali z filmu ich rówieśnicy. Dodatkowo zostanie stworzony przez uczniów słownik kluczowych pojęć matematycznych, wykorzystanych w filmikach, na wirtualnej tablicy Padlet.
Dzięki temu projektowi: uczniowie dalej będą budować pozytywne nastawienie do uczenia się matematyki (zakładamy, że filmik zrobiony przez ich rówieśników z innego kraju, wzbudzi ich zainteresowanie), rozwijać kompetencje matematyczne, słownictwo matematyczne w języku angielskim, posługiwanie się narzędziami TIK (tworzenie video, quizy online, padlet, TwinSpace).
