This etwinning project challenges students not only to define what a hero is, but to find out about many of the heroic men and women that have inspired us all. As students embark upon this quest, they will discover the accomplishments of many famous heroes and maybe some not so famous ones. Along with their groups, they will be responsible for choosing heroes to be included in murals, sites and trading card sets that will be distributed in each partner school. The project allows students to talk about their idols and heroes (a topic that is very interesting to them) with their partners in another country, to discuss similarities and differences, and at the same time practice their English skills. In this sense, the topic of discussion motivates them to put their English skills into practice. Students also practice English and learn about other cultures through the intensive use of digital technology.
