**Re-designing the EU flag

  • The new designs of the EU flag imagined by our students

Stefania Rigo and class 4A, Italy

The students made their flag in two lessons: in the first lesson they had a brainstorming, chose how to do it and coloured the flags. They chose to represent the tree of life, as a symbol of life and harmony and because it's open to new countries (leaves) to join the already existing ones. In the second lesson they made the picture, painted it and glued the leaves/flags. They worked collaboratively as always. I'm very proud of them! We hope you like our work :) This is a short video for you: https://photos.app.goo.gl/EowkyJCVEamWUYVBA

    New EU flags from Luxemburg

We hope you will like it. We made 12 different flags. Each has its own number.
    Greetings.

    Romania

We chose the drawing of our colleague Daria, 9 year old, who told us that he drew a mountain made up of all European countries. At the top of this mountain is the sky full of the stars we dream to touch together!

    Charlotte Sotty, France

Here is our French version of the EU flag ! My students chose to draw various flags of European countries and then embody the stars of the EU flag on a photograph which is kind of a "live version" of the flag. Each student is different yet similar to the other... like European countries ! We added a blue filter so that it looks more like the original flag. We hope you'll like it ;-)

EU flag re-designed by Portuguese students

These are our first four suggestions.

    New EU flags from Cyprus

The children enjoyed the redesign process of the European Union flag. You see the result below. I hope you like it!!

    New EU flags from Slovenia

We have made four new flags.

    German team - Anne-Frank-Schule

Students did brainstorming about the EU flag, then gathered in groups and created these new flags. They presented them in the classroom and will also expose them in 5th grade area as on 10th May our school will celebrate European Day.

Lenka Sedlakova and her students, Slovakia

Our EU flag symbolizes flower. You can find original EU flag in the middle of it and we drew all 28 European flags on flower petals. Each petal contains two flags. Hope you will like it.

    New EU flag from Finland

Our students thought that we should compound our EU nations and flags. First we explored all official flags of EU memberships. Second we counted the colors of the flags and made diagram of colors. The most general color was red (22 points) and the least general color was pink (1 point). In our new EU flag you can see the variety of flag colors. Our new EU flag is made from recycled materials.

    Eu Flags from Ireland

We chose our favourite 2 designs from our class...we used the same colours but changed the design of the circle

    Our last suggestions

    EU flag from Hungary

Hungarian students created some new EU flags. They loved doing this. Girls and boys worked very hard. First,we talked about the countries then about the UNION, what does it mean. Students had several ideas and tried to show the importance of partnership. We hope you will love our works.
