About the project

  • The project is organized for the upcoming celebration of Pi Day. In this project we will create the opportunity to use the number Pi in various non-traditional situations. Students from different schools and countries will communicate and collaborate with each other, organize joint activities, enjoy each other's achievements and evaluate them.

    Aims

    1. Promote pupils' creativity, erudition, logical and critical thinking, awareness
    2. To acquaint with the history of mathematics science, the respect of education for the activities of the scientist.

    4. Approximate ways to set the Pi number
    5. Contest "Remember the most accurate Pi number"
    6. The value of Pi in art, for example, illustrates Pi number, Pi dress, Pi dog, and others.
    7. Pi in practical situations

    Expected results

    1. Celebration of Pi Day
    2. Students will get acquainted with the history of mathematics, and will develop respect for the activities of scientists.
    3. Students will try to repeat scientists' calculations and discoveries, learn to use the number Pi more effectively to solve practical problems.
    4. Students will train Memory
    5. Mathematics, physics, history, information technology and English skills will be deepened and improved.
