Regarding the rights of women and gender equality, gender equality is guaranteed by the 2006 Constitution of the Republic of Serbia. Serbia is a signatory to the UN Convention on the Political Rights of Women and the Convention on Equal Remuneration for Equal Value for Men and Women. The Law on Gender Equality envisages measures aimed at preventing and eliminating gender and gender discrimination.
