On Friday, December 13rd, our students joined the #Fridaysforfuture platform. They started their mobilizations with an installation called "The vomit of Deva" in which they denounced the poor results of the COP 25 Summit. Our students voice speaker, Rita Dosil, denounced lack of commitment, political hypocrisy and eurocentrism as the main stumbling blocks to consensus.
In a cork panel they settled concepts summarying the results:
- Close to total failure, COP25 reached a minimum agreement to take urgent action against global warming.
- There are countries that have made it difficult to reach consensus: Brazil, India, China and the US.
- The emissions market could not be regulated to prevent "Article 6 fraud".
