Strumica Carnival Nort Macedonia

Strumica Carnival is an annual carnival held in Strumica and is one of the most important customs and traditions of its kind in Macedonia, which went perhaps far in its transformation from all traditional masculine games, both after maintenance time and its purpose function.
Tradition
The beginning of fasting, that is, the first three days are called trimeric days and they always start from Sunday night at Prochka and last until Wednesday, and within their frames ie on Tuesday night is the traditional carnival evening, when masked groups walk around the city and go to the houses where which has faithful, arkansane girls and where they stay up early in the morning. However, as regards the connection of the Carnival with trimer days, a distinction needs to be made, that is, it should be noted that their connection is only time, ie. they coincide in time, but not essential, because in their essence the triples are a Christian custom, while the carnival represents a remnant of a pagan cult
