ESL webinar

  • We participated in a webinar on  ‘Experiential learning and multidisciplinary teams to prevent Early School leaving’ on June 29 at 17.00 CEST and learned how to adopt a learner-centered education and how to tackle Early School Leaving.

The webinar began with examples of active learning and experiential methodologies that teachers can use in class in order to increase motivation and a sense of belonging among students. By adopting an inclusive learner-centred vision of education, teachers can make the students the main actors of their own learning process. By using different active learning techniques, all learners and their diverse needs are at the centre of education.

Furthermore, during the webinar we shared good practices from SOS Children Villages Tenerife in their work with children and youth in different situations of vulnerability. The focus was put on the multidisciplinary and whole-school approach of their Early School Leaving Program as well as on the concepts of prevention, intervention and reintegration.
