Greek team - Fit4Fun
We work on a project that we called "Fit4Fun" and It's about exercising everywhere and in so many ways. All you need is the right clothes and gear in some occasions and some basic knowledge. So we talked about the right way to organize a workout in nature. At first you have to warm up for a few minutes, always depending on the wheather. Then you adapt your working plan to the circumstances of the area. You can run or jog or walk. You can cycle, swimm or play a team sport, the possibilities are many. In the end it is recommended to do some stretching and take a few deep breaths... After the theoretical part pupils, working in teams, prepared a workplan each and we all followed in 4 sessions. It is fun to be independend and to be able to advise others in your family or friends about exercising.

POLAND
We wisited outdoor gym lately. Here are some photos:
The outdoor gym is a gym built outside in a public park, with the all-weather construction of its exercise machines somewhat modeled on playground equipment. It is similar to the 1960s-70s proliferation of fitness trails, which continue to be created particularly in the USA and Europe. In some instances, trails used for fitness are referred to as outdoor gyms.(wikipedia)

ACTIVITIES OUTSIDE SCHOOL IN KILKIS - GREECE
We are an Eco School so we organize a lot of activities in nature and pupils love to participate. During Environmental week in November we visit the local forest and we have some activities during an "Enviromental Path".
At first we went hiking for about 4 kilometres in the woods. At our first station we talked about orienteering and the use of compass and other natural signs to find the cardinal points.
In the second station of our environmental path we tried to energize our senses. We smelled and identified the different smells of the forest. We heard the different noises of birds, little animals, the wind through the trees etc. We recognized the different kinds of flora and we colleced natural materials to make art. Then we played "Find your tree" where one has closed eyes and his partner drives him to a tree. He must touch the tree and then, with open eyes and from the starting point, he must recognized it. It a very revieling activity..
The 3rd activity was a chasing game between two groups: The flora and the fauna. Pupils have cards with animals or plants of the forest, hunged on their backs. The winner is the group that finds and writes down all the animals (or the plants) of the other group.
We walked a long way into the woods and it was very interesting and fun for the pupils.
We ended our forest visit with a "Guess who" game, to relax and have fun
