    We are a group from Lithuania, Jonavos Senamiestis gymnasium. We did an interview about consumerism. We asked people from the street (ages: 10, 13, 14, 40-60, ~70), questions from the questionnaire:

    1. Do you think buying things give you happines?

    2. Do you think women are more consumeristic than men?

    3. Does your mood affect your shopping?

    4.  Before you or your family go shoopping to the supermarket do you prepare a list?

    5.  Do you think we live in a consumerism society?

    These are our results:

    To sum up, for most people shopping give them happiness and they think that women are more consumeristic than men. However people of all ages usually don't prepare a list before shopping and also their shopping habits are affected by their mood. In general almost everyone thinks that we live in consumeristic society.

    SPAIN:

    Ujué, Lucas and Johana interviewed some young people about consumerism and below the videos are the results:

    In general people who where interviewed think than buying things give us happiness. Moreover, they all agree that mood affects when people buy things. Some believe that, women are more consumeristic than men and not all of interviewed make a list before they go shopping. However, everyone agree that we live in a consumer society.

    TURKEY

    As Turkish team the conclusion was not surprising for us. We asked questions to teenagers because they are the future of the world.

    Their answers show that;

    * A consumeristic society is growing day by day.

    * People find happiness when they buy something.

    * Women are more consumeristic than men.

    * According to the way of public, we live in a consumerism society.

    To sum up all countries (Lithuania, Spain and Turkey) agree on that, that we live in consumeristic society and as time passes by we are more and more consumeristic. Almost everyone agrees that women consume more because their shopping habits are affected by their mood and they tend to buy more things. About 70% of people that were interviewed thinks that buying things give them happiness. And also about 70% said that they don't prepare a list before they go shopping, and I think it is a big problem, because if people would prepare a list it could reduce consumerism.
